Over time, the expectations got higher and higher because of the attention coming from people who didn't like Yandere Simulator rather than people who enjoyed the project by itself. However, Watashi no Mono was not a fake game, but a genuine attempt at one. It was just a simple project and I never had any real programming experience before it. However, that was never the case at all to begin with. However, not all of the attention was positive, especially because of Yandere Simulator drama going around, people started putting WNM on a pedestal above Yandere Simulator. It got more and more exciting to work on something that many people enjoy. I was a small youtuber and I didn't expect anyone to catch onto the project. ![]() I only uploaded the first progress video to show off to my friends. It was never supposed to become a complicated game at all, just something that would be enjoyable for my friends and I. WNM was originally just a fun project that I was going to do where the game would be like Yandere Simulator, except the rivals are me and friends' characters rather than my own designs.
